Sources: Butch Jones Interviewing For Big Ten Assistant Position

(Photo by Scott Halleran/Getty Images)Former Tennessee and Cincinnati head coach Butch Jones is meeting with Maryland head coach Mike Locksley today to discuss a position on his staff, sources told The Spun.Jones, who has been an offensive analyst at Alabama this season, is being considered for the position of associate head coach of the Terps. Sources indicate while he would not be Locksley’s offensive coordinator, he would have a role overseeing the offense.Locksley was officially hired by Maryland last week. He went 34-27 in Knoxville, winning three bowl games in the process.Before taking over the Vols, Jones went 23-14 in three seasons as the head coach at Cincinnati.
